December and January Scheduling

DECEMBER IS HERE, WITH THE FOLLOWING “FYI”. . .

Thursday Night, December 1^st, at 5:30 p.m., in Fellowship Hall our church is hosting a light dinner and service for WORLD AIDS DAY.  The dinner will be provided by Race Creek Baptist Church and Chapel Hill United Methodist Church for people attending this service, to be held in our sanctuary at 6:30 p.m. Share in a candlelit service to remember those who have died from HIV/AIDS and support families and friends who have been impacted by the disease.

Two worship services:   Sunday, December 4^th, will be the Second Sunday of Advent with Holy Communion by intinction at the 8:30 service and Holy Communion served by the elders to the congregation in their pews at the 10:30 service.

THE NEXT FOUR SUNDAYS WILL HAVE ONE WORSHIP GATHERING….here they are listed:

One worship service:  Sunday, December 11^th at 10:30 a.m.  Following worship, a Soup and Sandwich Luncheon will be provided in the Fellowship Hall. Our annual Congregational meeting will follow the meal, with Nursery available.

One worship service:  Sunday December 18^th at 10:30 a.m.  This special service will feature our Children’s and Youth’s Christmas Program.

CHRISTMAS EVE FAMILY CANDLELIGHT SERVICE:  5:00 p.m.

One worship service:  Sunday, December 25^th at 10:30 a.m.

One worship service:  Sunday, January 1^st at 10:30 a.m. to welcome the new Year with our prayers and praises.  The Rev. John Griffith will be our guest pastor while the Guthries are in Santiago, Chile.  Holy Communion will be served by our elders.

JANUARY 8^TH   we begin our two worship services, 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
